A CFI (Ret) may also apply to be exempt of Continuing Professional Development requirements if they are not involved in any volunteer or other unpaid activities where their knowledge and experience as a CFI is being relied upon.
Where reliance is being placed upon the CFI (Ret) member, continuing professional development should continue for the benefit of the member and the public’s expectation of the member and the association.
CFI (Ret) are expected to continue to abide by the Code of Conduct.
