Graduates of Algonquin College’s Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation Advanced Diploma are eligible to apply for the Certified Forensic Technician (CFT) designation upon graduation.
This designation does not require forensic investigation experience. It signals that the CFT holder
- has obtained the necessary education requirements,
- has passed the ACFI certification exam,
- has undergone the required background checks and
- is willing to abide by the ACFI “Code of Professional Ethics & Conduct”, “Professional Standards” and requirements for “Continuing Professional Development” (CPD).
Graduates of the program are exempted from the ACFI Manual and Examination fee (a $150 value) upon verification of the purchase of the ACFI Manual for their course work during the Advanced Diploma program.
