I am at least 55 years of age at January 1, next year; I have retired from paid employment and /or practice as a CFI; and I am not serving as a volunteer on a board, governing body, or advising in any capacity where my knowledge as a CFI is being relied upon.*

Declaration: *

I declare that I meet all of the above criteria, and that should my situation change such that I no longer meet all of the above criteria during the year or in future years, I will promptly notify the ACFI. I understand that I will now use the CFI(Ret) designation and that I will continue to be bound by our Standards and Code of Conduct.

* Where reliance is being placed upon the CFI(Ret) member, we believe it is important that professional development should continue for the benefit of the member and the public’s expectation of the member and the association. CFI(Ret) are expected to abide by the Standards and requirements of the ACFI.
