Our members must adhere to the Association’s strict “Standards for Certified Forensic Investigators”and must abide by the Association’s “Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct”. Members of the public may confirm membership in good standing by checking the directory below and/or Contact Us. Our members hold one of the following designations:

The Certified Forensic Investigator (CFI)

The CFI designation in Canada is a symbol of the highest standard of excellence in its field.  Certified Forensic Investigators achieve this designation by experience, education and examination.

The Certified Forensic Technician (CFT)

The CFT designation in Canada is a symbol of the highest standard of excellence in its field. Certified Forensic Technicians achieve this designation by education and examination.
